Re: Public Notice to Janet Drew

I am not responding to the apparently on going verbal battles between
the two women here.

I am the second "defendent" in the lawsuit that was brought against
both "Deb" and myself.
For the record, yes it was real. Yes, the charges were brought by
Mark Lindsay and Deb LIndsay via attorney Allen Hyman (though we on
occassion address him as Allen Hymen, could have been fruediant, or
maybe not).

It was a very obscure lawsuit to say the least, most lawyers that were
approached with the info in the suit first words were always...."what
is this?", and we were and still are unsure ourselves.
Neither of us had ever had dealings with the judicial system, (other
than jury duty for me), so it was an experience, not an enjoyable one,
but an experience. Not one that I would like to repeat either.

The reasoning for the "suit" was never clear, but money was a factor.
As to what was posted on "chat boards" back then was truely "opinion",
and no one can be sued for "opinion", regardless of Mr. Hyman's/
LIndsay's personal feelings. Granted, some of the "opinion" was not
flattering nor supportive of Mr. LIndsay, his actions, or talent, but
again it was "opinion".

One of the oddities that we encountered was fact, that when "Deb" and
I had conversations within the walls of her home, there would be
posts out on the boards, with bits and pieces of our conversation.
And NO, Deb did not post them herself as I was there, in the house
when we would read them. So, how did this happen, unsure as to the
actual "how to" but I too, was witness to : Clicking sounds on the
phone, (sort of along the lines of someone picking up a second phone,
but there was none in the house), and yes, I can confirm that there
were "sounds" attributed to the computer, (this was before computers
had that ability to converse other than via I/M and/or email)and the
sounds/voices were not computer generated. And there were other
assortments of "weird" occurances.

The lawsuit was incrediably stressful, frustrating and mostly
enfuriating. There were constant delays, postponments and papers,
paperwork, and phone calls.
It finally ended, being "dismissed" due to certain parties not
appearing in court as ordered by the Judge. From me, was a deep sigh
of relief that it was over! But, I sighed to quickly, for weeks it
was dragged out by the law office of the Lindsay's. And there were
"stipualtions" that had to be signed (which for the record, were under
duress, therefore not binding), and for some reason it seemed that the
attorney was on a fishing expedition for something else, but I suppose
it never "panned" out as they hoped so they went on to other things.
Eventually it wound it self down to a whimpering end. And that was the
only "good thing" that came out of that experience for me.
No one gained any money, I didn't lose any money as I represented
myself, but it did leave a bitter taste for quite awhile, and made me
sad to think that someone that I once had "teen aged" tender feeling
for, became an unhappy person, living in a world of 'used to
was"....but then again this last line is only my opinion.
